Veneer Slate is made of real stone with fiberglass backing.

Veneer Slate have been used in a number of unique and distinct applications. Architectural uses include building facades, interior walls, flooring, columns, shower walls, manufacturing of indoor/outdoor planters, custom residential/commercial water features, and automotive, marine and RV paneling.

Veneer Slate is as durable as any other natural stone is. It can stay the same for decades.

Although natural stones hardly react with any chemicals so easily but we recommend a top surface treatment for easy cleaning the oil spots. Using acid on the Veneer Slate may results in fading the texture.

Veneer Slate isn’t fire proof but it is fire retardant to some extent.

Unlike other decorative surfaces our Veneer Slate is 100% weather proof.

Veneer Slate can be used in extreme hot climate conditions ( ≤ 60° Celsius) as well as extreme cold climate ( ≥ 20° Celsius)

It will not shrink at all.

use of water-based epoxy grouts work well to fill between the cut veneers. By removing the material just under the grout joint, a deeper grout can be achieved if desired. Epoxy grouts are available in many colors to match or co-ordinate with the different colors of Veneer Slate.

Construction grade multi-purpose adhesives (eg. Liquid Nails or PL Premium Polyurethane or
similar)

• Veneer Slate may require a filler-type adhesive in some cases. Polyurethane wood glues
  work well for most applications to fill gaps. For wet environment such as shower and
  bathroom applications, the use of epoxy is best.
• Pressure sensitive adhesives are also recommended due to the even backing of the
  Veneer Slate.

Diamond blades used for marble & stone cutting can be used for cutting Veneer Slate.
Metal cutting tools also can be used to cut the Veneer Slate. Any standard carbide or diamond
saw blades would work just as well.

(i) Regular Veneer Slate: 150gm/ sq. ft.
(ii) Translucent Veneer Slate: 150gm/ sq. ft.
(iii) Nano Veneer Slate: 50gm/ sq. ft.
(iv) ECO Veneer Slate: 80gm/ sq. ft.

For the Regular Veneer Slate & translucent Veneer Slate we have two standard sizes:
A: 61x122cm or 4’x2’
B. 122x244cm or 8’x4’
For the Nano & ECO Veneer Slate we have single size available 61x122cm or 4’x2’.

Silicon based transparent glues (colorless) are used for all translucent Veneer Slate
applications.

It can be sealed in the similar manner as most slate and / or stone tiles are sealed. Please
follow manufacturer’s instructions for best results. As sealants are offered in varying degrees of
luster or sheen, we recommended that you confirm the reflectance prior to complete installation
to get the desired effect.

Veneer Slate is water retardant which can be water proof by the using same sealer which
is used for surface treatment.

Veneer Slate can be bent or flexed to a radius of 150mm along the 1200mm length. The
600mm width will also have a slight flex to it, but is not recommended for bending. Due to the
nature of the different thickness of the individual items, the degree of radius varies per item. We
recommend testing the flex of the considered item prior to final installation.

Veneer Slate will not peel off from its backing as well as from the surface where it has
applied if the recommended adhesive is used.

Yes it has been already used in many flooring projects. To save it from wear and tear we
recommend using a sealer.

Our standard packaging options are available for 61x122cm. 1 corrugated box contains 25 sheets. In 1 wooden crate there are 10 such boxes which contain total 250 sheets.

Our skilled staff members always make sure that similar sheets be placed together. Every
time we get a request we deliver similar sheets of the same model. Natural Slate Veneer, color &
texture variations are the property of the material. Texture variations with color difference are a
inherent part of the natural beauty of quarried material. Veneer Slate cannot be guaranteed to
match with each Lot, it is recommended that material should be accepted in lots of 20, 40, 50
sheets to match. Large orders will be executed in bundles of 50 with 2-3 matching lots in each
bundle. Exceptions of large lots are also a possibility.

Nano & ECO Veneer Slate is an excellent product for the wood working industry. Its ultra
flexibility makes it perfect for all the curved and spherical surface applications. It is also can be
used in fashion industries for making Wallets, Purses, Bags, sunglass frames, Phone and Laptop
covers. Automotive industries also showed its interest in this product.

Fleece or cellulose backing gives best results for all the wood working applications.
Fleece backing allow wood workers to use PVA glue for laminating Veneer Slate on wooden
surfaces which makes it cost effective.

Fabric backing is ultra flexible than fiberglass backing. Now because it can be bent to smaller radius, it has become a good choice for the application of Veneer Slate on curved surfaces,
